John Nack at Adobe on his blog has made a resume of an independent study carried by photography professionals on the software that they used. On the Mac, Aperture has a small presence. In 3 years it moved down from 14,3 to 12,5% whereas Lightroom passed from 26,6 to 44,4%.
This is not surprising.
Lightroom functions on many more machines than Aperture, in particular all configurations containing G4 and without restrictions on the level of the graphics card.
