First Demos of USB 3.0 Products Expected this Week
The new USB 3.0 format being now fully finalized, it should slowly be integrated in computers and in peripherals. For the time being, despite announcements there is no real true news on this topic. However it might change.According to CNET, with the Intel Developer Forum kicking off today, we should have numerous hardware demo and announcement related to USB 3.0. Among them, Fujitsu should present the first USB 3.0 notebook, based on ASUS motherboard, but also several webcam able to transfer HD video at 1080p in real time, external HDs etc
Most of those products should become available in shops for Q1 2010. All USB 3.0 peripherals should be more expensive at the beginning, due to the premium of a new product/format, but prices should quickly decrease over the year. In the meantime, the Firewire alliance did not react and it remains unclear if the current Firewire 800 will ever have a successor.
