Hidden Preferences in Quick Time X

Quick Time X is one of the new feature of Snow Leopard. It is faster and more reactive than the previous version, especially when running it in 64-bits mode. However, we were surprised by the lack of new features/functions released with QT X. Most advanced functions found previously in QuickTime Player have simply disappeared (copy/paste, track extraction, etc.). In addition, one can not really easily set the application the way we would like to use it. We know that Apple is used to improve new service/application over time, so let's be patient, future releases might unveil new functions and power.  While waiting for such improvement, you can customize a bit your new toy, thanks to the following command line to be entered in the terminal: No rounded corners for windows:defaults write com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX MGCinematicWindowDebugForceNoRoundedCorners 1 Never display the control bar, function activated when the mouse icon leaves the playing windows:
