Adobe Does Not Plan to Upgrade CS3 for Supporting Snow Leopard

This news might make many users of Adobe Creative Suite unhappy. The company announced that they do not plan to release an upgrade of a patch that would fix some potential issues when running CS3 on a Snow Leopard-based Mac. They do not pretend that there will be problem (stability, etc.) but they do not want to support the CS3 further, giving no other choice to CS3 users than upgrading to CS4. In other words, if it will cost you 30 € to upgrade Mac OS X to Snow Leopard, it will cost you 900 € more to switch from CS3 to CS4. If one can understand that Adobe does not want to invest too much resources in potentially patching a suite not sold anymore, we doubt that customers would appreciate such short lifetime for expensive applications. What would Mac users say if Apple decided to stop releasing security update for Leopard or Tiger because Snow Leopard is released
