Last February we had discovered that an abnormally high number of Geforce 7300 GT cards that were fitted to the first Mac Pro presented display problems. Just as in the case for the iMac G5, the problem is related to defective capacitors. Apple has never hesitated to exchange these cards under guarantee. The procedure is now been made official.
Apple will exchange the 7300 GT of Mac Pro under the following conditions:
If the machine has a serial number of the type xx738xxxxxx or between xx741xxxxxx and xx803xxxxxx.
If one of the two condensers shown by the arrows has become inflated.
If the machine was bought less than 3 years ago.
