According to Macrumors, Apple sent to developers a new beta version of Mac OS X 10.5.7 flagged 9L30. Differences between the new version and the previous version are limited to 2 minor bugs related to awake from sleep and plugging external monitor.So, if no major bugs are reported in the coming days, one could expect the future release of Mac OS X 10.5.8. It should be the last update before the launch of Snow Leopard, so the last Mac OS X version for PPC-based Macs. Apple will continue to support Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard for years, especially for security updates and other minor bug fixes, but 10.5.! should be the last version of Mac OS X natively supporting PPC-based computers.
