In order to compete with the new Intel SSDs released last week, OCZ decided to cut prices of its products, while waiting for new models to come:
Vertex 60 GB from 229 to 190 USD
Vertex 120 GB from 369 to 290 USD
Vertex 240 GB from 725 to 600 USD
As a reminder, such models are still creating numerous problems on Unibody MacBook and MacBook Pro.
OCZ also announced the future availability of a 3.5" HD, known as the Colossus. It seems that it will be a RAID volume of Vertex units as it will sport 2 to 4 Indilix Barefoot controllers, offering a maximal storage space of 1 TB (2,200 USD). The SATA II format will lock performance to 260 MB/S in reading and writing modes.
