Palm released an update of Web OS for its Pré. Among the bug fixes, Palm brought back support for synchronization with the last iTunes version. So, they bypassed changes introduced by Apple in the recently released version 8.2.1 in order to avoid having to deal with Pré owners complaining about the lack of compatibility with iTunes, as this is used by Palm for advertising the Pré.Palm demonstrates that the company does not plan to give up its little hack to allow this partial interoperability with iTunes, so if it is not the war, one will have to see in the future how Apple plan to react.
