Does Apple Really Hold 91% of Market shares for 1,000 USD+ Computers?

According to NPD, Apple broke a new record last June in USA by capturing 91% of market shares for &,000 + computers segment. Despite the fact that it is 3% more than in May, those figures are puzzling and might push competitors to think twice or start dissecting what is being those numbers.  As mentioned by some analysts, those figures would indicate that recent advertising campaigns from did not really target customers as expected or claimed. It could also define Windows as the OS of cheap and dirty computers? This is for sure not entirely true as some cheap netbook are not powerful enough to run Vista, or even XP.
