The website Manomio reports how and why Apple has refused to grant access to the AppStore for a Commodore 64 emulator.
While being 100% compatible with the iPhone, the application has been rejected from the AppStore, because in the SDK there is small lines indicating that it is not allowed to develop an application aiming to execute/decode/recover other code. It is different for the game Sonic from SEGA, a game emulator available on the AppStore. Indeed, the ROM for Sonic is included in the application and has been tested as such. Another reason why such emulator, which would be able to get games (in other words codes) from unreliable sources has been rejected, is also linked to security issues. If all games ROM were loaded with the emulator it could then be eligible on the Ap
