Some iPhone users have reported considerable difficulties downloading the new iPhone 3.0 firmware, following its release on Wednesday. MacNN has received reader accounts of activation servers being unavailable; some have complained that the update process can take upwards of two-and-a-half hours to complete. Delays are believed to be attributable to user overload.
