Mac OS X contains drivers for most available printer models, so in most cases, you can just attach a printer and it will be automatically detected and easily set up through the "Print & Fax" system preferences. However, there are some instances where a specific model is not supported and the system will end up using a generic printer driver by default. This may be a problem for some people, and unfortunately, there is no easy way from within the operating system to see the full list of installed printer drivers.
