With the arrival of the small laptops, the term NetBook is in general use to the great pleasure of Intel who provides the essential "hardware" of these machines, however also Psion indicated that this name belonged to them. Psion has not hesitated to threaten those who used this name, Intel at the head. However, according to Blogee, the two companies succeeded in finding agreement. Psion gives up using this name once for all, leaving with Intel and its partners a free field to make netbook into a generic term.
We do not know the amount of the cheque which was signed, but it will certainly have given pleasure to Psion who do not make anything much right now.
