Hardware.fr published an interesting update of its previous article, discussing further details on performance level, power consumption and other long-term usage factors for SSDs. The new Intel firmware prevents the lost of performance associated with aging SSD. They then compared it with the following SSD:

In addition to its great performance level, the OCZ Vertex 120 GB unit is the best regarding power consumption. it only drains 0.4 W when idle and 0.9 W in working status, vs. 0.6 and 2 W for Intel X25-M and 2.4 and 5 W for the OCZ Apex.
