Ben Kokes unveiled on his website the procedure to graft a GPS on its iPod Nano 1G.
To complete the work and make geo-positioning data displayed on the iPod, he used the AIR mode of this iPod making possible to control the device by an auto-audio system. Without any license for it, he recovered the communication protocol by studying the way his Alpine audio system was communicating with the iPod.If on a practical point of view it might not be very useful (except for sailing or trekking), as better solutions are currently available on the market, this is a excellent "bidouille" as we like them
