If in the official press release we were commenting yesterday, Bluetooth 3.0 was not expected to be massively available before beginning of 2010, things might be different for some Apple products, and might arrive faster than expected. Indeed, according to an official press release from Broadcom the BCM4325 chips is already compatible with the BT 3.0 format.
This chips is ALREADY used in the iPod Touch 2G, while the future iPhone should be using an almost identical chips known as BCM 4329, making it possible to support 3.0 too
