HTC warned on Monday that its finances had been significantly hurt in the first quarter of 2009, which ended in March. The company said its profit dropped 30 percent year-over-year from the equivalent of $210 million in early 2008 to $148 million this year. It also fell short of its expected total revenue and generated about $954 million where it had expected $997 million.
