The multitouch trackpads on the new Apple laptops have a variety of gesture capabilities, including the pinch-zoom and rotate features. While these can come in handy for basic photo manipulation, if applications do not properly implement odd behavior may occur, such as the zoom acting temperamental in certain programs such as Photoshop. Additionally, even when the zoom capability is implemented well, as in Safari, many times people will inadvertently activate it.
