"The industry is currently facing an unprecedented period of uncertainty" warns SIAEconomic troubles in 2008 caused chip sales to fall by 2.8 per cent compared to the previous year and there are no clear signs of when the market will turn around, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) warned Monday.
