Source : CDR InfoToshiba, the specialist in the 1.8" hard drive (with which the iPod Classic are still equipped), announced that they have repurchased the hard drive activity of its Fujitsu competitor who are rather specialized in the 2.5" segment of the market intended for the OEM market.
This repurchase makes Toshiba the largest manufacturer in the world of of small size hard drives. It will certainly allow the company to lower its of R&D and production costs in order to fight for a longer time against the SSD disks which aim at the same targets.
