Yesterday we were reporting about the difficulties to get the DFU mode working with Mac OS X 10.5.6. The DevTeam iPhone offers a solution to reactivate it. You simply need to recover 2 extension files from the system 10.5.5: "AppleUSBHub.kext" and "IOUSBCompositeDriver.kext" located in the following folder: "/System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns". However, you better do not mess up if you do not really need it as it can block the USB ports of your computer as well as the trackpad.
A much easier solution is to boot from the previous Mac OS X 10.5.5 version, or simply to plug you iPhone to a USB hub instead of directly plugging it to your computer USB port, acting as a buffer the hub prevents any blockage of the DFU mode.
