Described as a "drop-top leather case," the Elan Convertible ($30 each) combines a leather iPod-holding sleeve with an optional lid that can be attached for added face protection. The lid slides into the back of the case, which otherwise has a metal belt clip. This year's versions of Convertible are more attractively designed than ones we've previously seen from Griffin, and come in separate iPod nano, classic, and touch sizes.
