Source : Western Digital Western Digital issued a press release to announce that mass production of its 2.5" hard drives of 500 GB had started. It thus joins Samsung which has marketed disks with the same capacity since the Spring.
These disks have two platters of 250 GB and are 9,5 mm thick; this makes them compatible with Macbook and MacBook Pro. The price of the Western disk is of $219,99.
