CLC bio has released the first version of Genomics Workbench, a software suite which analyzes data from "all the major" NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) platforms, including SOLiD, Solexa and HeliScope. The application is also claimed to analyze NGS information faster than it is created, through use of a faster SIMD-accelerated assembly algorithm.
