US urges South Korea to join the China sanctions regime, adjust export controls to prevent the country from getting chipmaking tools

The U.S. government asked South Korea to adjust its fab tool export controls to prevent shipments of advanced fab equipment from going to China. Whether South Korea will implement these adjustments remains to be seen.
