Speculating on yesterday's news from Linken Park (really Apple? Linken Park?) front man Mike Shinoda on an upcoming special event, the New York Times is speculating that Apple will announce an end to DRM on iTunes. It certainly makes sense since Apple has spearheaded the charge against DRM laced music (Apple is fine, it appears, with DRM video) and Amazon has been offering DRM free MP3's from al lof the major labels since last year.
