England looking at the French graduated response to piracy

There is no longer the slightest doubt. Soon P2P networks will be under close surveillance and "pirates" will be warned before eventually (3rd time) their Internet subscription will be terminated for one year and they will be blacklisted, making any new subscription impossible during that period. England seems to have appreciated this method of enforcement and is (hastily) considering its adoption. It must be said that this approach has the benefit of enforcing sanctions against pirates that is totally different and far less traumatic than those proposed previously (by our freinds from the RIAA, amongst others), those being heavy fines and possible imprisonment(and lots of legal fees).
