If this card feature less shaders than the GF 8800 GT (64 vs. 112), and narrower 64-bits memory bus vs. 128-bits, the frequency of its GPU is clocked higher and performance wise it partially compensate. Of course, the entry level GF 9600 GT will not overcome the GF 8800 GT, but this is for sure the best price/performance ratio for around 150. This card could have replaced (advantageously) the Radon HD2600.
