Microsoft offers via its "Microsoft Connect" service a beta test version of Office Mac 2008 (requiring invitation), prior to its official launch at the MacWorld Expo on January 15th in San Francisco.
During the last Apple Expo, where Microsoft announced the future availability of Office Mac 2008, they demonstrated all applications of the suite (except Entourage). Visitors could clearly notice improvements, and new features introduced to strengthen the productivity of those applications. Unlike the PC version, the Mac version will not use the banner interface, and offers a rather standard and less disturbing GUI.
