It did not take long to see Toshiba firing back to Sony 399 PS3 aiming to deliver the cheapest Blu-ray player as we reported about it yesterday.
Starting October 15th till January 31st, customers will be offer:
- Two HD-DVD movies, "300" and "Bourne's"
- For 1, five additional HD-DVD movies will be offered
- Toshiba will offer 50 money back coupon for purchasing any of its HD-DVD standalone player.
The entry level model being available for 349, customers can get seven HD-DVD movies and a standalone player for 300. With such price cuts from both sides, it will soon be cheaper to buy a player for each high definition formats than purchasing one of those dual format players
