Several readers from de Macfixit have reported major USB problems after having installed the last EFI firmware updates. Issues are often a problem for detecting USB peripheral (take years) or the computer massively slow down once the peripherals is connected.
It remains unclear so far if it is related to a series, or to a bug due to a third party applications or devices.
