iPhone owners will be able to disable CPU throttling in future iOS version, Cook says

Apple CEO Tim Cook in an interview on Wednesday revealed a new iOS function that will allow owners of iPhones with depleted batteries to disable a built-in CPU throttling designed to lengthen the life of older handsets.
