ACCC wants new principles for app producers

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) claims there is a need for more stringent guidelines in the mobile gaming industry following a review of the Google Play and Apple App Stores where more than 340 apps were analysed.The ACCC's concern stems from a discovery that many of the games in the survey did not provide proper information to consumers before download about the nature of the games and the possibility of in-app purchases.
