China Mobile to sell iPhone from 18 Dec after signing deal with Apple, says WSJ

China Mobile, the world's largest mobile phone operator, could soon be selling the iPhone, thanks to an alleged deal between Apple and the telecom. With 740 million subscribers, the long-awaited China Mobile deal would give Apple access to a huge number of potential customers, which could help widen the company's market share in emerging markets. China Mobile is expected to begin selling the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c from 18 December, at the same time as it rolls out its unique 4G LTE network, according to The Wall Street Journal. Earlier this week, a China Mobile subsidiary opened an iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c reservation system, also hinting that a deal has been struck and that the iPhone would be available when the new 4G network launches.
