I'm still on the search for the ultimate clipboard manager. Namely, one that tracks your clipboard content and serves as a temporary repository for longer-form text that you need to save for a short period of time. In my search, I stumbled upon CopyClip from Fiplab, a no-frills app that'll log the snippets you send to your clipboard.
By default, CopyClip logs the last 80 items you have copied and shows the last 20 in the menu bar. You can change this value, if you need access to more than 20 copied items. This isn't a free-for-all to show 1000 items, as the length of the list is limited by the size of your screen. You need ample room to display more than 20 clipboard contents in the app's menu.
