Firefox 22 supports 'high-intensity' Java content, WebRTC calls

Mozilla has posted the public release of Firefox 22, an important update of its multi-platform web browser. The app incorporates a new JavaScript subset, asm.js, which Mozilla says should let developers create "high-intensity" web apps such as 3D games and photo editors without extra plugins. The update also by default enables WebRTC, a protocol that supports voice and video calls as well as filesharing.
