Study: Apple's barring of UDID will cost advertisers, devs

Advertisers who are affected by Apple's ban from using the Unique Device Identifier (UDID) information on individual iOS devices will lose as much as 24 percent of their ad revenue, according to claims from mobile ad server MoPub, reports MacWorld UK. The use of UDID information is a widespread tool for measuring the performance of advertising and developing pricing models for paying app publishers.
