Absoft has released Pro Fortran 2012 v11.5 for Mac OS X, a new version of its Fortran compiling suite. One of the major additions is that of the Absoft Window Environment, or AWE, a graphical interface for Fortran apps. A scrollable window provides access to pre-connected unit numbers for input and output; extra windows can be generated through an extension of the Fortran OPEN statement.
