Fingerlab has announced the launch of Rockmate, a new music creation app designed specifically for the iPad. The app includes a number of tools for composing, recording, and playing music with up to four people simultaneously. Rockmate includes a number of built-in styles that bring together a combination of guitar chords, effects, drum and keyboard sounds, and mixer settings that allow users to quickly get started on a song. The software will sell for an initial $1 promo price, rising to $4 after December 21.
