Android is now large enough in the UK to make up half of all smartphone sales in the country, Kantar WorldPanel determined in a study late Monday. Google's platform managed 49.9 percent as of the start of October. Unlike in the US or most other markets, some of that rise came at the expense of Apple, whose iPhone dipped to 18.5 percent.
