Study: many want iPad rivals to be at least $100 cheaper

A market research study has now put an unofficial value on just how much of a premium customers are willing to pay for the Apple iPad. iGR, a market strategy consultancy focused on the mobile industry, has concluded that rival tablet makers would have to charge at least $100 less for their tablets to sway buyers away from the iPad. The data was an average "discount" based on responses and was considered optimistic, as the actual average gap was higher.
