Study: most 'freemium' game revenue spent on consumables

Advertising and mobile behavior analyst Flurry has supplemented their studies on the shift over the last year to "freemium" model for games with further data that suggest that in-app purchases are largely spent on items that will be "consumed" in-game as opposed to items such as ad-free upgrades or "permanent" items. Flurry analyzed over 57 million transactions across a group of Android and iOS freemium games.
