Twilio Inc. has released a VoIP client that it claims can add voice communication to any web page, iOS or Android app. The VoIP client allows calls to wired or wireless phones, as well as browser to browser calling. For instance, the Twilio client could connect two subscribers on a dating site, without the need to expose their real phone numbers. The company also sees potential markets in social media, call centers, and gaming.
