Apple has officially served 15 billion downloads from its popular App Store, the company announced via press release this morning. With more than 200 million iOS device users around the world, that means that each customer has downloaded 75 apps on average. Of course, this makes Apple's App Store the most popular of the lotby a very wide margin.
Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, expressed gratitude to Apple's customers in this morning's press release, saying, "Thank you to all of our amazing developers who have filled it with over 425,000 of the coolest apps and to our over 200 million iOS users for surpassing 15 billion downloads."
