Singapore's defense ministry has decided to issue nearly 8,000 iPad 2s to its military recruits beginning this November, according to PhysOrg. In 2012, it also plans to hand out the device to others serving in the military. The Singapore Armed Forces would benefit from the technologies abilities of the tablet, says defense chief Neo Kian Hong.
