Nokia's phone share compounded by slow Finnish upgraders

Research by Recon Analytics has given rise to a theory that may explain Nokiaís flagging fortunes. It appears that Finland-based handset maker is getting little help with handset sales from its home customer base. Finnish consumers are among the slowest when it comes to upgrading their mobile phones, taking some six years on average between handset upgrades. This compares to the States, where consumers upgrade their handsets every 22 months.
