Some features of iOS 5 have already leaked in advance of today's WWDC keynote, a report claims. Apple is allegedly preparing its own SMS/MMS protocol, one which will be able to identify iOS users and direct messages "accordingly." The concept is thought to work similarly to third-party apps like Textie, but in a simpler fashion. Another analogy is RIM's BlackBerry Messenger service, which is likewise proprietary.
