Apple claimed half of the operating profits of the eight largest cellphone manufacturers during the March quarter, says Canaccord Genuity analyst T. Michael Walkley. The feat is vastly disproportionate to the company's actual share of the overall cellphone market, which is just 4.9 percent. Even in the realm of smartphones the company has secured only 18.9 percent.
