Users of 3D mice can now use them for 2D applications by virtue of the new 10.0 version of 3DxWare from 3Dconnexion. The new drivers will work with existing 3D pointers, where compatible, and includes support for both Mac and PC users. The videos below show demonstrations of 3D mice working with 2D applications. They show the relative simplicity of users zooming, browsing, scrolling, pointing and clicking their way through web pages, browsers and more complex software such as Final Cut Pro.
