Orbicule has launched Witness, new home security software for the Mac. The utility relies on a Mac's webcam to provide motion detection; when motion is observed, the app begins recording stills and video. The media is then sent to a person's iPhone or iPad. The alarm can be configured and monitored remotely via either a web app or a free iOS app. Both are said to provide instant alerts.
